Reuben Scott // A Topical Conversation About Littering

A Topical Conversation About Littering, screenprint, 24” x 18", 2021.

Sustainability comes in many different forms. They are practiced in many ideal ways. However, throwing out trash and recyclable waste is not one of them. It is unsustainable behavior. Since a lot of waste takes a long time to biodegrade, the volunteers, and those sentenced to community service, are the ones to pick up after the consequences of human apathy. My print looks at one of the ways we address the symptoms rather than the cause of the problem with unsustainable trash build up.
