Join us for Re-Sounding Poetries: Collections, Classrooms, Communities, part of the SpokenWeb Sound Institute, featuring exhibitions and a poetry reading at the Alternator Centre for Contemporary Art.

Visit the Alternator's Main and Project Galleries from May 14-17 for a free, all-ages exhibition showcasing works focused on Fred Wah and Pauline Butling, along with curated materials from the SoundBox Collection (Dr. Karis Shearer’s literary audio archive research collection including recordings of Marlatt, Thesen, and Wah from 1960s-2020).

Then, on Friday, May 16th, from 7:00 to 9:30 PM, don't miss a free, all-ages poetry reading presented by the SpokenWeb network, Inspired Word Cafe, and the Alternator, featuring acclaimed Canadian poets Daphne Marlatt, Sharon Thesen, and Fred Wah. Light refreshments and a cash bar will be available.
