I am a multimedia artist studying Visual Arts at UBCO for a Bachelor of Fine Arts, focusing on sculpture and digital collage artworks, also creating music on the side with Digital Audio Workstations. I focus on humorous subject matter with the objective of amusing the viewer, but have recently shifted into using ideas of the impact of technologies such as Generative Artificial Intelligence and LLMs in today’s society, and the loss of the sociality that has come from the usage of GPT models.

The Alternator holds a special significance for me due to it being my first “real” experience with an artist-led community. Ever since moving to Kelowna, the Alternator gallery has always felt special to me as it is an artist-first environment, and it does not focus solely on a particular set of mediums, opting to use its space to fulfill its artists’ vision to create not only unique exhibitions but also immersive experiences. The social aspect of it is also something important to me as it was the first time I got to independently experience going to openings and get to talk to people who are interested in the arts like I am, and it opened me up to many opportunities and connections I am grateful for.
