My artistic practice investigates how landscape is perceived and emotionally experienced rather than simply represented.

Living in the Okanagan, I am surrounded by mountains that quietly frame daily life, and my work responds to the subtle shifts in light and atmosphere that continually transform these familiar forms.

While my background and BFA education is in Textile Art I have recently switched mediums, now focusing on painting. I focus on fleeting moments when light, colour and mood briefly align, translating these transitions into contemplative visual spaces.

I joined the Alternator this year after spending the past year frequently visiting the studio space my friend, Barb Bell was sharing with 2 other artists over the course of 7 or so months.

I loved visiting her shared studio and being in the Rotary Centre surrounded by artists of all kinds creating work.

My studio is in my home and I go to Alternator shows & a recent workshops to see the work on display and meet other artists, hopefully to also be part of an exhibit as well.
