Tiny masterpieces, huge inspiration; discover local art, artist-made postcards and a creative community worth celebrating.
The Alternator Centre for Contemporary Art is thrilled to announce its 5th annual Postcard Project and Studio Sale, a vibrant exhibition celebrating the creativity of the Okanagan arts community. The exhibition kicks off with an opening reception on July 17, 2026, and runs until August 21, 2026.
Member artists have created an edition of unique handmade postcards and submitted artworks to be sold for the studio sale. This dynamic exhibition reflects the diverse voices and mediums that make our artistic community so unique. It’s a chance to engage with the energy of Kelowna's art scene and support the artists who bring it to life.
We’ll be celebrating the artists with a special opening reception on July 17 from 6-8pm. This is your chance to get a first look at the artwork and postcards and claim your favourite! Set the tone for your evening with our free mocktail bar and DIY candy bags. All attendees will have a chance to win door prizes, with prizes from local businesses including Rio Branner’s, Opus Art Supplies, Catelowna Cat Cafe and more!
This reception is free to attend. However, for those with the capacity to do so, we invite you to participate in our Pay It Forward program.
