This piece was inspired from my readings and observations about the current Ukraine/Russia conflict. “In Turmoil” reflects the pain, anguish and uncertainty that the victims on both sides are living. Destruction of property, families being torn apart, death, birth, upheaval of lives with a senseless loss are all represented in this piece. There was no original intention when I started this piece and this figure emerged. The feeling of loss and blood shed are evoked. Is survival inevitable?

Jaine is passionate about creating original, authentic works that evoke feelings. Her preference is mixed media that tells a story for the viewer to digest.
